All I can say is WOW about this spot! First, the wait staff was amazing, especially considering the craziness that is our family. Their kindness and patience was inspiring. But to what we all really care about...the food!! If you're looking for southern dishes with a twist, this is your spot. The menu makes you want to try everything and it's almost impossible to choose just one dish! This is how you know it's a fabulous restaurant. The coffee was so refreshing, the chicken salad appetizers were an adventurous take on southern cuisine, and every entree we ordered was perfect! I hope you enjoy this place as much as my family did.

Came in on a busy Friday morning, we were told it'd be a 20-25 minute wait but luckily we were seated just a few minutes after since a table had left pretty quickly. We were seated in the dining room which was pretty packed and loud, not to the point you're shouting but we def had to repeat ourselves a few times. Real cute rustic home style type of vibe tho. Our table was under a vent and it did drip a few times.... My friend and I ordered the smoked salmon toast and maple chicken with pimento grits to share. The smoked salmon had a nice light flavor with a touch of lemon but I had to scrape off a good bit of the chive cream cheese, otherwise it would have been too overwhelming. The grits and chicken were yummy but a bit too salty to me; I got tired of the taste pretty quickly so I'm glad we split the dish. My friend asked for maple syrup on the side to drizzle on top and she said it made a drastic difference (beware tho, a lil cup of maple syrup cost 1.50$ extra which we didn't see until we got the receipt) Service was kind and friendly. Would come back to try other stuff!

Made reservations for a Tuesday afternoon but it was still very busy--would definitely recommend reserving ahead of time! I enjoyed the blueberry-basil lemonade, buttermilk pancake, and biscuit basket for the table. I would recommend all of these items, as the lemonade was very refreshing and the pancake was extremely fluffy. The highlight, however, was definitely the biscuits--so crunchy yet soft and buttery! Service could have been a bit quicker, but there were a lot of people and we weren't in a rush. Overall, looking forward to coming back for a delicious brunch!

We had a reservation for 8 on Mother's Day and they sat us right away. Ashley was great, and the food came out fast and was quite tasty. I was happy with my Chicken Biscuit and definitely recommend the Pimento Cheese Grits, even if you're not a big grits person. Our table was right in the front, so unfortunately I didn't get to explore much or really experience any ambiance.

You should definitely make a reservation before coming here. I enjoyed my Lox plate. The salmon was cured in beets which gives it a red color and arranged as a rose. We also ordered the side of breakfast potatoes. Overall it was an enjoyable breakfast experience.

This was truly one of the best brunches I've had in a long time. We came on a Sunday morning, highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it looked like a pretty long wait (although the tables looked like they were turning over quickly). We started with the pimento cheese snack, which came with Texas toast points and some biscuit crackers, as well as green tomatoes, pickles, and some of the best pepper jelly I've ever had. I love pimento cheese and this was excellent! We also had an order of spicy cornbread muffins, which were a Cinco de Mayo special (the regular menu has the standard cornbread muffins). They were cooked in bacon fat and had the most incredible smoky flavor- we absolutely loved them. Our mains were the famous fried chicken biscuit and the hot chicken with pimento grits. The chicken biscuit was excellent (the biscuit is absolutely delicious) although pretty classic and straightforward. The hot chicken and grits, though, was absolutely unreal. It came with a huge piece of chicken in the middle and was piled high with eggs, cheese, scallions, and bacon bits. The portions were massive- we probably could have done with splitting just one (and would've made it the hot chicken and grits!). We were visiting from out of town and took a biscuit basket to go to enjoy on our flight. Highly recommend doing the same if you are visiting- the biscuits held up perfectly and came with blueberry basil jam and red pepper jelly, both of which were so good I would have gladly purchased full jars if we could have fit them in our suitcases! We had very friendly and attentive service throughout our entire meal. We really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back if we're back in Atlanta!

Came for a friend's birthday brunch and was not disappointed!! Laid back and homey setting with serving staff who were so kind. It's pretty popular so we booked in advance but we did have a party of 6 so a smaller group could probably snatch a table. Parking is also free and they have multiple lots in the back, I would definitely go back again! Food 5/5 - I got the chicken biscuit, when I say that biscuit was thick and fluffy! A lot of my friends got pancakes and they all loved them. Coffee here is also superb Service 5/5 Vibes 5/5 - didn't feel cramped or overly busy even though lots of people were waiting for tables

On the quest of finding a brunch spot, which I find is never ending, we ended on coming to Buttermilk Kitchen with friends. To get a spot here, it is highly recommended to place reservations so keep that in mind! This place gets super busy so having that reservation I felt like was crucial. So let's get straight to the food. I ordered the chicken sandwich which came with fries. This sandwich was a bit different as I was surprised that the chicken breast was moist, which is hard to do! The meal is served with a special type of ranch, so I thought that was pretty good. I didn't want it on my sandwich so I had it on the side. It went well with the fries! If you're going out to eat, prices are going to be higher than usual so just keep that in mind. The other item I was eyeing was the chicken and waffle, but I didn't want to go overboard. I guess there's always something to look forward to next time! Service was great.

We've been wanting to go here for a long time. It took some visiting family to make it happen. We had reservations and were seated almost immediately. The service was fine, although we had to ask for spoons for grits and our coffee was warm but not hot. These were rectified upon request. The biscuits here are huge drop biscuits. I've had many a biscuit in my day and, these were definitely some of the best (craveable for sure). The ingredients are local and care is taken in all of the dishes here. Our family members had fried chicken. They stated that it was something memorable. I will definitely come back for those biscuits alone.
